Back story:

This was a really fun one! While the aesthetic may or may not be highly there, I think the concept really is!

This was “inspired” by “someone else’s art”. I saw, an image on Pinterest. It was a view as if you were looking from the street at dark, up to an apartment style building and the window treatments are in varying forms, thus you can see varying instances of life through the windows.

I saw this and felt to do an iteration that strongly represented plants. Plants more than lifestyle or people to be seen in the windows. After all plants often are IN windows and window sills so it would naturally be the kinds of silhouettes you’d see. There are plants in the reference image too.

I really loved the idea of this. What do you think?

I dubbed it “Peeping for Plants” like “peeping tom”. And then of course, wondered where that expression comes from. Apparently Tom was the only guy who looked when Lady Godiva rode her horse naked through the streets of Coventry to protest taxes.

What I IMAGINE of a CITY night scape, if I were to take a walk at night, I’d be looking for plant silhouettes with people in all the windows of the sky rises.
